Today was a great day. Although I’ve been feeling quite sick the last few days, I managed to put in a few hours of work, rest up and make it to my exhibition this evening (it would be pretty bad if I didn’t show up). The ladies in the office (at work) celebrated and hosted a small party and mini-previewing of my show. I had no idea that they were planning anything, but should have suspected it since we try to celebrate and find any possible reason to have an office party. Bev and Terri were practicing their gallery etiquette and had a fun time viewing a few of the images that Bev had printed off of my blog. I must credit the handy iPhone for the great pics.

Anyway, the real exhibition went great. Thanks to everyone that made it out and to those who purchased prints. Also, thanks Mark and Nicole for your help setting up. The show will be up through mid-June, so if you couldn’t make it to the opening stop by Glazer’s rental store anytime during normal business hours (M-S 8:30 – 5:30 pm & 12:00 – 5:00 on Sundays) and check out the work. Sorry, the good food was only available at the opening. Free admission!

It has been a very busy week. I’ve been finishing up the matting and framing for my exhibition, was hired to play violin in a musical, have been working full time and doing a couple photo projects on the side, including getting ready for a wedding this weekend. Thankfully, with the help of a good friend, Mark and Nicole, I was able to get my photographs hung at Glazers. We will have an exhibition opening on Thursday, May 8, from 6-8 pm. Everyone is invited and welcome to come. If you can’t make it on Thursday, the work will be up through June 14. Hope you can stop by sometime!

I’ve been getting ready and framing prints for my upcoming show at Glazer’s. I’m excited about the photographs and it will be nice to see them matted, framed and hung. This project has been a culmination of two years of photography throughout Central Asia and in Russia. All photographs are printed traditionally using an archival silver gelatin process.

The gallery opening will be held on Thursday, May 8, from 6 – 8 pm at Glazer’s (517 Dexter Ave N) - click here for directions. Hope you can make it! If you can’t make it to the opening you can stop by and view the work until June 14.
